Truth? I’m sad that I didn’t come up as a designer now instead of years ago. So many good designers out there and so many inspiring designs. However, I have noticed that many of the designs are becoming very derivative of one another.

The web is becoming more and more font friendly. And more and more designers are taking full advantage of this. That being said, this is a great article that highlights what many designers are currently doing with web design. Whether you like it or not, the nostalgia look of many new sites is here to stay for 2012. But the freedom of font choice is opening up creativity which is always a good thing.
The Flash Dance
You know all the marketing that tablet makers push touting the ability to be Flash friendly? Here is a quote from the site androidandme.com about the current and soon-to-be-released versions of Adobe Flash Player:

Today Adobe announced Flash Player 11 and Air 3, introducing a new architecture called Stage 3D that allows developers to create apps using a mix of Flash, HTML 5 and native code.
There is some additional, interesting information about what the new version of the Flash Player will be capable of. However, in our experience in developing for Flash is that it continues to be processor hungry. These new features, even with the claim that Flash will play faster, may require beefy processors to fully take advantage. We’ll see…
