The Flash Dance
You know all the marketing that tablet makers push touting the ability to be Flash friendly? Here is a quote from the site androidandme.com about the current and soon-to-be-released versions of Adobe Flash Player:
If you think Adobe Flash Player and Air performance sucks on Android devices, wait till you see what they have planned for the next major updates. Today Adobe announced Flash Player 11 and Air 3, introducing a new architecture called Stage 3D that allows developers to create apps using a mix of Flash, HTML 5 and native code.
There is some additional, interesting information about what the new version of the Flash Player will be capable of. However, in our experience in developing for Flash is that it continues to be processor hungry. These new features, even with the claim that Flash will play faster, may require beefy processors to fully take advantage. We’ll see…
